Consumer Portfolio Services practices unfair collection laws. They call you at work numerous times a day and if they can't speak with you they call your supervisor and other co-workers telling them you are behind on your loan. My supervisor has called them twice asking them to not call but it doesn't matter they still call.
I believe the are breaking some kind of privacy act! They have contacted people on my reference list that I supplied in order to obtain the loan not knowing they would be contacting them when I'm pass due with my loan. It doesn't matter if you notify them of when your going to pay or even if you set up payment arrangements using a check they still call. I have had relatives & friends who had to curse them out about call there houses trying to VERIFY there information such as there address.
There practices are ridiculous and need to be stopped! I have also contacted a Consumer 911 hotline to help me with the harassing phone calls & threats.
