Here's another game they play. I spoke with Mo and negotiated a Buy Now price for a car. They processed my $1000 Visa deposit immediately to hold the car. They sent me all the paperwork which I completed immediately and returned to them. I also sent them a bank check for the remaining balance of the Buy Now price and processing fees.
They said the car would be pulled off ebay at this point and therefore no more bidding would take place. I told them I would fly down the following week to pick up the car. All seemed well at this point.
Two days later I was showing a friend pictures of the car on ebay, and to my surprise, the bidding was still continuing! I called them and they stated once again that they would pull the car off ebay.
Well, you know the end of the story. The bidding never ended on ebay and the winning bid was 3K more than I had already paid them. After a couple screaming matches on the phone, they told be "too bad" and that I was not the owner of the car (that I had already paid for!!!).
They also stated "good luck getting your money back." I stated that my next call would to the DA's office in their county to report them. This threat resulted in my funds being returned the next day.
What a game they play... Sell to the highest bidder (in this case on ebay) even if you already have a contract with a buyer (me) and already received full payment. These are not honorable people, and be prepared to have them threaten you on the phone! Beware and good luck.
