Try this on for size: our credit is not so hot so we were aiming low. We also saved up some cash to give them. 5K in fact. We were shooting for a 10K car. That's half up front. Should the world end, they could have easily gotten the rest from a public auction, or whatever they do with cars they repo. They still said no. And for what? All that was on our credit were a couple of medical bills. We went to ANOTHER dealer, who suggested the losers at Carmax only look at your credit score, not how much you're willing to put up front. He also suggested they will deny you outright if you haven't bought a car from them, before. Which is kind of dumb, they lose a lot of customers that way. This was our third, and last attempt. Feel free to comment, maybe where you work it's different because the crooks they use for lenders are just that, crooks. Thanks. Disgruntled Car Buyer Anywhere, Tennessee
