First of all, I got my 1998 Honda CR-V in 2000 with 68,000 miles in it and I was in and out of the dealership within 1 hour!!! Way to go, Honda! Never had a problem with it except for normal maintenance. 2 years ago, my husband and my son bought their '07 Camry and '07 Tundra, respectively. The Camry wasn't hardly used and had only 800 miles for 10 months until I started using it. Once it was being used, I had to go back 3 times for squeaky brakes and 2 times for the alarm going off on its own without any triggers. I was told that it was supposed to have been fixed the first time I took it in. They are making all kinds of excuses that its the condensation on the brakes, the alarm setting was too sensitive, etc. Now, for the Tundra, my son decided to trade in his '05 Honda Civic with a lot of extras and was just appraised a month before for $16K. He was a father at 18, so he decided to get a bigger car and decided on the Tundra. They knew that my son really wanted the truck and were working on him. When I ask them a question, they will change the subject, that I couldn't really get a straight answer. It's hard to say no to my son, so they just kept working on him. Long story short, he got the truck and signed it, then found out that they only gave us $8K for the Civic! Okay, that's done, we lost on that one. Then, my son was having second thoughts on the Tundra, because they just had twins recently, and wanted a car that would fit 3 car seats. They told him that it will just be an even trade-in. We will still owe whatever we owe and just pick out any car in the lot (that's what the finance manager said). Once he got there, they were trying to get him to get a car that he didn't want. They treated him like a child, not an adult that he is now. Before this he had already gone to a Chevy dealer and did not get treated like that. Needless to say, he left the dealership and will not go back ever!
