Suspicious from the Beginning

I was searching for a used Honda Civic on-line, and came across a 2001 car with around 65,000 miles for only $2000. That's an incredible price for a low-mileage car, which is what initially made me suspicious. When I inquired about the car, the owner said she moved to Scotland and is trying to sell it quickly from overseas.

She even gave me a vin number. This sounded even more suspicious to me, but I said I was still interested. When she said the transaction includes paying the money up front before delivery, that tipped me off that this is almost certainly a scam. I went on-line asking the question "Is buying a car through MoneyBookers a scam"?

People should recognize that anyone requiring money up front before even seeing the product is a scam. They should also recognize that if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is!
