Complete rebuild. Only to replace parts again 9 months later. Put in wrong, or bad parts?

I had my clutch rebuilt with new parts. It seemed to work fine except for a vibration that I was told would go away. Time passed, and so did the warranty, for barely 9 months later the throwout bearing and pilot bearing both went out... Costing me over $500 labor cost to put new ones in. I paid nearly $1000 just 9 months earllier to have 'new' parts put it. They did warranty the parts, but not the outrageous labor bill. I was desperate and had them fix it again... Didn't have the luxery of time. With the economy as it is $500 is A LOT of money, which I didn't have. They claim the parts failed, but I questioned as to the vender, they stated it was a good vender that their parts were equal to and better than OEM. So, I think the first time it was fixed the parts weren't lined up correctly or new ones weren't put in. Neither that can be proven. But this repair should not have had to be done again for another 100,000 miles, not just maybe 10,000! The repair this time, however, seems to be done correctly, no vibration like before and even smoother shifting. Did I finally get the new parts I paid for 9 months ago? Did I get a mechanic that knew what he was doing? Who knows? I was told this company was fair and honest, which I believed... But doing a double whammy on my tranny was just too much to stomach.
