I am an active duty Air Force member. On Monday January 12, I went to pick up my vehicle (2004 GTO) after having a windshield replaced. When I arrived, I found my vehicle backed up on a hedge row of bushes. There were 3 bushes physically touching the back of my car. I asked the owner to come out with me to inspect the car for any damages (scratches), his reply was Jesus Christ and he then walked outside.
When outside he told me that the bushes are soft and would not scratch my car. I told him that there are sticks in the bushes and they could potentially cause damage. I told him that I wanted him to pay for any scratches that could have been put on my car from the car being backed up against the brush. He told me that my car was not a Lexus and that he seems to ALWAYS have problems with the Air Force and that he wants to stop dealing with us. I told him it is probably how you treat our cars!
He was in my face yelling (2 feet away from me). I told him twice to get out of my face and to step back because he was to close. I told him that he needed to be more professional. He started to walk off and said I don't give a d#$@! I yelled after him and said you should because your business is all about service. He bullied me and tried to intimidate me all because I wanted to know if there were any scratches put on my car due to him or one of his employees parking my car on bushes.
My husband then called the owner and said he did not appreciate the way the owner talked to me. The owner said he did NOT like the Air Force. My husband then told him that if it were not for the Air Force and other military branches he would not be able to be an entrepreneur today. My husband then told the owner that if he does not like the Air Force that there is a Off-Limit list he can go on.
The owner than started to back track. He said that he is going to write an apology letter to me. I should NOT have been treated this way. I believe I was because I was an Air force member. I do NOT want any other Air Force member being subjected to such unprofessional behavior. We make sacrifices for our country and we should just not be treated this way!!!
