I bought a 2007 toyota prius, for the "good" gas milage, well it did get good gas milage till I took it in for an oil change, I think I got more than I bargained for there. Not only did I get an oil change, but got a change in my mpg.
Now an oil change shouldn't have anything to do with mpg, but boy it did.
Before I got the oil change I could get 400-426 miles to the tank, now I get 280-320 a tank, my Cheverlet venture get's 380 to the tank.
I took it in and of course they said it (oil change) don't have anything to do with that. That gas station's are using ethenal and that's probably why the decline... I'm thinking "HUH", then how come my van hasn't chnaged.
