I purchased some gas and a $6 carwash from the Exxon owned by WilcoUSA on the corner of Silas Creek Parkway and Hawthorne Avenue. The carwash was $6. When I drove to the carwash, it was closed. I backed out, entered the store, and asked what I should do.
Instead of offering a refund or a future carwash, the non-English speaking clerk asked me why I was so stupid that I couldn't see that the carwash was out of order. I demanded a refund, and she advised me (after consulting to a colleague in Spanish) that she wouldn't give me a refund and that I would have to speak with the manager.
I contacted WilcoUSA, the corporate owner, for satisfaction. A lady named Barbara called back to say that I could revisit the store and get a free car wash. I told her I didn't want a free carwash, just the carwash I paid for.
Today I went back to the station and was handled very rudely by a clerk who told me that there was no Barbara and that I wouldn't get a refund or carwash. When I told her I wanted the matter resolved or I would tell everyone I knew to avoid this carwash, she told me to "go ahead... That's your choice."
I urge people NOT to visit this gas station. The clerks, when they speak English, are very rude and have ripped me off. It's only for $6. But where does it end?
