Fired for mistake

It was a very busy day and the tire techs are supposed to sign off on there work orders, but more than half the time they never do and the managers fill them in afterwards. So we have a box "work to be done" and a box"work done". So there was a ticket in the done box. I thoughn not too much about it. No sign offs or anything, nothing out of the ordinary. So I did the same thing as the managers and signed off a tech off to help where it was busy. I called the customer to tell them there car was done. Needless to say someone put a car that needs to get done in the done box. She called back complaining but we took care off her and gave her a battery. See when a customer complains to corporate there everyone goes into an uproar. So I took the brunt off it and got fired because someone put the ticket in the wrong box, I called the customer and told her it was done, Why wouldnt I if it was in the done box. I didnt put it there. IS that grounds to get fired over an honest mistake. No talking too, or warning, just straight fired. Aother thing theres been alot of anti-semitism there and Ive complained but nothing ever happed. Theres a service manager there who Ive complained to about other guys and hes done nothing. One day he make a remark "Its true what they say about Jews". I personally think he never wanted me there and had something to do with me getting fired
