My car was parked at my girl friends house and I was there overnight.in the Morning I went out to get in my car and it was gone. I called the Local Police and filed a stolen car report. Honestly I would have been happy if it was stolen because it would not have been that much of an hassel. The police had no record of my car being towed and they put out an report for my car. The officer and I noticed a small faded sign for the above mentioned tow company, and we decieded to call and see if they had my car.
At first when I called no one answered. We called again and fiinally got someone, the lady on the phone told me yes she does have my car and they are bringing it in now. I asked why was it towed. She said " IT was parked in a f*ing Handicapp spot" although I was not. I then asked her if she had proof and she said " It doesn't f*ing matter we have your damn car and you need to pay us." and again I was disconnected, so I called again and no answer, I repeated it again and spoke to the same lady and she told me I would have to pay $200.00 to get my car, and they dont need proof. I asked the cop if this was legal he said he didn't know.
I became seriously pissed off by now and I gathered together the $200.00 and went to the place. At first she told me that I cannot bring another male with me because she was there by herself. I though excuse my french but why in the hell is this b*h being brave on the phone when she was there by herself. And I though she was lucky because I am not a criminal.
Once I arrived she made me pay the amount and pulled my car out. Once I was in possession of my car I told her, " You dont have to be such a Bitch I didn't know who had my car and was worried." I then proceeded to get in my car, once in my car she follwed me out and said she recorded my calling her a b*h and I was an a*hole and she would call the police because I "cussed at her" I laughed at her and left about half way to my house I get stopped and the officer asked me what was going on. I told him plainly I committed no crime by calling this woman a bitch and he agreed and he left.
I dont think that someone can legally take possession of my car without permission and charge me and exaggerated rate because they can. This cant be legal am I correct?
