In Feb. I took my Amigo to Silver State with the clutch slipping. They diagnosed that I need a new clutch which they did at the cost of $780.21. I took it back tow days later with the same problem. Supposedly an outsourcer (they said) did it incorrectly. The next day I had to leave for a job in Colorado. The work they had done had less than 100 actual miles with the rest being tow miles behind my motor home.
When I arrived in Colorado the same thing happened—this time on my way up a mountain where I was stranded for hours. When I finally got it in to repair in Westcliffe, Co, they fixed it correctly at the cost of $941.00. They indicated to me that anyone who did any work on it should have spotted the problem and gave me a detailed repair slip.
I immediately wrote to Richard at Silver State and said I would be in when I returned. On Dec. 17, I went in to see him&he denied receiving the letter, said that he had done nothing wrong and would not discuss any adjustment.
The car has run fine since having it repaired and I have the parts. It is unfortunate that Silver State chooses to do nothing whether they did not expect to see me again and that I am a woman&I'm not sure which, but I certainly think them totally unfair to 70 year old woman who would hope to be able to trust people in Pahrump.
