Took in my wife's car for an oil change, tire rotation and to fix a tire with a leak. There was a slight back up and was told it would be 2 hours before my car would be ready. I said no prob and left it with them.
My beef:
It took 3 hours to get my car.
After inspecting it, like any good consumer would do I noticed that they left one tire almost completely flat and didn't refill the washer fluid (before procedding outside to my car I asked the clerk specifically: Did you replace the fluids?).
I pulled the car around back and made them complete the job while I supervised. I also told them that I waited 3 hours and didn't appreciate them cutting corners. A supervisor said that he would "write the mechanic up for not following procedures" which I doubt he actually did. I then left and went home. On my way home I thought to myself "If they cut easy corners like this, what else did the not do?" After inspecting my car further, I saw that they never fixed the leaking tire which was obvious because there was a screw in it. But of course it was shown completed and I paid 15 bucks for it. At this point I was furious and headed back to the store, this time to get my money back.
I gave them a piece of my mind and got a refund for the services that were not rendered. A manager offered to fix my tire right there but I told them not to fix it, give me my money back, and I will have fixed somewhere else.
I planned on complaining to corporate, but I have seen here that they also do not care about customer service.
I will never go to PEP BOYS again, for any reason. Period.
