Forgot to order part - Sent a muddy, rusty part, and told me I should have bought a new part

On 10/2/08 I purchased a Toyota Tacoma power window master switch from THOROUGHBRED AUTO PARTS. After taking my credit card # Scott told me that the part would be coming out of Tampa and shipping should be relatively quick. I live 50 miles south of Tampa. Scott told me he would send me a tracking # by email to follow the shipping. After 4 days not hearing from Scott, I called to find out the status of the part. I found out that there was a glitch with the shipment. On pressing I found out that the glitch was that Scott forgot to order the part. John picked up on the call and told me he would order one and let me know the next dayso I called back the next day and wound up with Bill who told me the part was ordered and he would call me back with the tracking number... He never did. The part cam in on 10/10/08and looked like it was soaked in mud and rusty. I took several pictures and of the electronic/mechanical switch that was loaded with mud, corroded terminals, and rusty screws. I called immediately and spoke with John who told me upon hearing that the part wasn't worth the $85.00 and 2 weeks wait that If I wanted a new part I should have bought a new one from Toyota. Then he suggested a restocking fee if I wanted to return it, and why didn't I just wipe it off and try itwellI didand it didn't work. So I called back and he said to send it back to the Tampa distributor, and he would order another one. So Monday I shipped the package and sent the tracking # by email to Thoroughbred. I called Tuesday and John picked up and put me on hold, and Bill picked up and told me that John ordered the part and he would get the tracking # and email or call me with it. Well the part was delivered back to the Tampa and I sent the delivery notification by email to Thoroughbred. I called to confirm they were aware it was delivered, and get the status of my new shipment. I was told the part was coming from Vermont and it would be a few daysI ask for a tracking # and he couldn't give me one. I told him he had one hour to get me a tracking # or I was going to cancel the credit card transaction. I told he would call me back and let me know the tracking #. He called back in an hour and told me the part was shippedbut he couldn't get a tracking # yet. I ask to talk to the Boss. John got on the phone and after a basically telling me that I'm just one of those unhappy customers he has to deal with who are never satisfiedhe told me to shove the partand hung up. He then called back 10 minutes later, and left message on my machineand politely ask if I still wanted the part let him know or he would cancel the part. After I closed my jawI called back and said are you kidding? You just hung up on me and now you want to know if I want your business, cancel the part, I don't want it, and will do my part to let others on usacomplaints.com (where I should have looked first), know about their business ethics.

Today 10/22/08 a part came UPS... I'll have to refuse it, or send it backI hate to do that to the Vermont vendorbut I don't want anything to do with Thoroughbred
I have logged 13 calls to Thoroughbred regarding the purchase of one part. Never again!

Also; when I told John I worked in law enforcement, and if the police handled calls like Thoroughbred did I wouldn't' have a job. He saidOh so you work in law enforcementyeahno wonderyour one of thosethat explains it
