Ripoff Dishonest Fraudulent

On May 7 I received an email inquiry from Thoroughbred Auto Parts stating that they had the part I was looking for per their email message and asking me to phone them.

On May 8 I phone them spoke with Dawn from sales, explain I have a 1999 Mazda Millenia and need a "wheel bearing hub assembley" for the front left of my vehicle. Dawn said that they had the part and it would cost $50.00 which included shipping and handing.instead my credit card was billed $53.50. Gave my credit card and place the order, I received invoice number #74629, then told by Dawn to call back the next day to get tracking infor. On May 9 phone Thoroughbred for tracking info, spoke with a Chris who asked me to hold. I spent several minutes on hold and when I finally was able to talk with Chris, said very busy, I will have to call you back, never did.

On May 10 I received a part from UPS, that evening my auto engineer who took a look at the part and right away knew it was not the part needed for my vehicle. I later found out from Cindy at Thoroughbred the part was for vehicle named Probe, which she stated should have fit my vehicle.

On May 12 phone Thoroughbred left message on voicemail about the wrong part being sent and at that point wanted a refund.

I have spoken to the owner John about this problem, after yelling from him and me explaining my situation and what options I had in resolving this matter by filing a complaint John said that he would refund my money. John also wanted this part back, which I have no problem in doing so but not at my expense. This conversation happen on Monday May 14.

On that same day John phoned me back and had me speak with Cindy. Cindy said that she was going to setup a pickup for the part by sending a "keytag" for the part along with my refund. Cindy also asked if I would just follow up with them in a couple a days.

On the same evening I received another phone call from Cindy wanted info on the part I purchase from my dealership and my auto engineer's phone number. I told Cindy I didn't feel comfortable giving out his number but I could give a description of the part because I had just purchase it from the dealership. That's when I learn that the part sent to me by Thoroughbred and/or Midwest was a part for the vehicle Probe.

On May 16 following up as requested by Cindy at Thouroughbred. Spoke to Cindy and it was like she had never heard of me explained why I was calling again asked about my refund and keytag, I was put on hold, Cindy return took my invoice number and home phone number and said she would call me back. Cindy called back said if you send the part back to the people who sent the part to you they would refund money.

I asked Cindy what happen to sending the "keytag" for the part because I don't think it's fair I should send back the part at our expense because we did not get what we order, I order this part from them. I was willing to send the part back after John quoted he would have the part picked up and once the part was picked up and they received it back, I would be refunded.

I got accuse of yelling stating I got the part I order even though the part is a Probe vechile part and according to Cindy it will fit. I never mention a custom arm for the 1999 mazda millenia but doesn't it make sense if the part had been a mazda part the "wheel bearing hub assembly" means that. Not a part from another car. I asked for Mazda part not a Ford Probe part. So I did not get what I paid for.
