I purchased my $67,000.00 Audi Q7 with $10K down from David Stein (Owner) and sales representative Suzanne Gordon. Suzanne was informed inform that I worked in Mexico (364 days per year) but would like to purchase my vehicle in the United States since my mailing address was in Laredo, Texas. She informed me that it would not be a problem to do so, and that she had many clients whom lived in Mexico but purchased their vehicles in Austin. Her first error was in selling a vehicle to someone whom had a mailing or physical address in Laredo. She should have followed Audi USA's territorial rule and referred me to the closest dealership, which would have been in San Antonio Texas.
When asked, Suzanne acknowledged that the manufacturers warranty would cover my vehicle within Canada, the US, and Mexico. (North America) After purchasing and picking up the vehicle and having my first set of problems, I found that the manufacturer's warranty would not cover the vehicle in within Mexico and I would have to either pay all repair costs out of pocket, or return the vehicle to the US if I needed any repairs under warranty. Furthermore, the dealership sold this vehicle without a window sticker in attempt to hide these warranty restrictions. Selling a vehicle without a window sticker is against the law within the state of Texas.
I contacted Audi in Mexico whom is not willing to transfer the warranty to their Country. I have also spoken with the owner (and multi-millionaire) of all of the Dealerships, David Stein on several occasions, but he has refused to provide any guarantee for this new vehicle, refused to try to sell the vehicle on consignment, and refused to buy this vehicle back from me.in fact he offered me a low-ball value to purchase the vehicle back from me in order to try to resell it for a profit.
This is no way to do business. Be very careful when purchasing a new or used vehicle from Roger Beasley Audi, Volvo, Mazda, Porsche, Saab of Austin or Georgetown.
