I purchased a fairly expensive Motorhome from River City RV in Little Rock in March.included in my purchase, at River City's recommendation was an extended warranty contract with Heritage TPA.
Heritage TPA was paid $7500 for the warranty plus $950 for GAP insurance... Total I paid to Heritage through River City was $8450. The policy basically is "bumper to bumper" with a $50 deductible for each authorized repair. The limits on the policy are 7 years/80,000 miles. (My RV is 5 years old and has 30000 miles on it).
On June 23 I had a problem with the Onan Generator and carried the RV to an authorized Onan repair shop in Shreveport, LA. The repair shop obtained an authorization number from Heritage TPA (FO8-95240-560) and was advised I should pay them for the service (whic I did for $619), then submit the documentation for reimbursement to Heritage at 400 Metro Place North, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
After three months of waiting for my refund, I began calling the customer service number 800-753-5236. Guess what... All you get is "Administrative Services" and the only answer they have is "your claim is in the computer". They will not release names or phone numbers of any management personnel in Heritage and will not offer any explanation for the delay.
Now, after four months, it has become obvious that Heritage TPA has no intention of honoring the contract. The total Heritage TPA issue is an outrage and I feel I am entitled to a full refund of the $8450 they have swindled from me. These people must not get away with this fraud...!!
