I bought what was sold to me as a re-manufactured Ford E4OD transmission and re-manufactured torque converter. After unwrapping trans I see painted over dirt and pea gravel on housing. I took it to a local trans. Shop and owner run his finger inside rear of housing (4x4 so no extension housing on trans.) and his firger was covered with black trans. Oil. We unboxed converter and same story, dirty grit inside. Due to labor involved in swapping 4x4 trans. And junk I received, I wouldn't install it in my truck. Called and tried to return trans. And was hung up on by frank kuperman. I tried 2 more calls but kuperman wont take or return calls.
Beware of frank kuperman and all his different business names, Phoenix Re-Manufactured Transmissions, Phoenix Hard Parts, Silverado Industries, PHX Retrans and probably several more. Do your home work before doing business with them.
I got my funds returned by credit card co. And kuperman sued me in Az. Small claims court. I checked with Ca. Sec. Of State and to collect on an out of state judgement he must bring his judgement to Ca. Superior Court. I'll be happy to see him here in our courts. Research collecting out of state judgements.
I filed a complaint with Az, Atty. Gen. And urge all others having trouble with frank and crew to do same. I checked and no class action suits are current but will be keeping track to see if one gets filed and will join.
