Regional Auto on Battleground is stealing gas from customers. We filled up our van two days before it was wrecked within walking distance of our home. The van was not driven after the wreck. We had the van picked up from the house and the employee at Regional Auto lied on a piece of paper that there was only 1/4 tank of gas. My husband was hurt in the accident and we did not think to take pictures of the dash (gas gauge) when we had the accident so it is really their word against ours. When we picked up the van after it was fixed, the gas tank was totally empty (we were lucky to make it a block to the gas station). With gas prices as high as they are these days, I thought you might enjoy this story. This is the newest scam. We have gone to the better business bureau but we also thought you might want to warn consumers that gas is like gold now so businesses do well by stealing it. The general manager at Regional Auto was nasty to us about the gas issue and basically said it was our word against theirs. He said he would give us $22 because when we filled up two days before the accident, the van was not empty. But they stole at least $50 worth of gas. I do keep every reciept and have all my gas purchases documented for the year. It is a small amount of money but it is an easy way for businesses to steal from customers.
