Poor service

We just returned from a 24 experience from hell on ATA Airlines.

We arrived at the Honolulu airport at 11AM on Saturday 1-5-8 to fly to LAX. Our 2PM flight was cancelled and a new flight scheduled for 145AM. We finally took off around 230AM and got to LAX at 845AM on Sunday 1-6-8.

Unfortunately ATA Airlines made no arrangement for a gate. At 930 AM on Sunday morning we finally were off the plane and luggage didn't come off the baggage claim until 11 AM. It took a full 24 hours of sitting and sleeping in airports.

Funny, ATA has a preprinted "ATA Airlines sucks, so here's a free ticket, (Rev 12/07)". I'd hate to work for a company that is so bad they have a monthly revised "we suck" letter.

The problem is that when their airplanes break down, there's no backup and you get stuck. Many of the people on our flight had been stuck in Hawaii by ATA Airlines for 4 days.

PS - on the flight back, this one senior flight stewardess kept waking everybody up on an overnight flight to try to sell us snack boxes. They must not have made their quota. She kept saying, "wake up, it's a 4-1/2 hour flight, don't arrive in Los Angeles hungry". What a loon!
