I went to Johnnys Suzuki to purchase a car and they ran my credit, at that time I was told that I would need a co-signer to get the loan which was fine, my father gave Johnnys his info over the phone, he lives out of state, I was then told that I had been approved but that the loan would be in my fathers name for 8 months and then I could transfer everything in my name.
I was also told at the time of the sale my payments would be one amount and then when I went back to finalize everything they wanted me to pay about 150.00 more than they originally told me. At that time they tried and tried to get me to agree to the higher payment. I did not. They then offered to give me 1200.00 to put in an account and pull a little bit out every month to make the difference in they payments. I declined.
Finally after going back and forth for about 3 hours we agreed on a payment. Well I have been driving the car for about a month now and come to find out the finance end of it has not even been approved yet, they want me and my father to lie to American Suzuki and tell them that I am 17 years old when I am actually 33 so that he will be able to put the car in my fathers name. I am stuck now, come to find out the car is in my dad's name only, which was not the agreement and also my information was never submitted to American Suzuki Finance to begin with.
So here we are 4 weeks later and I am not sure if I even own the car or not. I have sent a registered letter to Johnnys and got no relief, so now I am in limbo and do not know if I even have a vehicle or not. I traded in my old vehicle so who knows if they still have that on their lot or not. I can not really take the car back at this point I do not want to ruin my fathers credit by defaulting on a loan that I am not sure we have or not.
DO NOT EVER PURCHASE A CAR AT JOHNNYS! By the way the free $1000.00 gas gift card he advertises on his commercials 100 times a day is a rip off as well because I never recieved it. Thank You
