Over $1K in Damage as a Result of negligence in towing

On 7/18/08, Southwest Towing did a non-consentual tow of my vehicle from an Addison restaurant to their Dallas tow yard. My 2007 VW beetle was UNDRIVEABLE post tow. The driver's negligence resulted in damage to my vehicle's suspension (struts, tie rod, control arm, alignment needed etc.)

I filled out a damage claim form prior to leaving their location and intend (ed) to submit estimates for repair as instructed. I was advised by an employee to call on Saturday 7/19 when a manager would be available to discuss the damages and claim process.

On 7/19 I was told to call and talk to Patrick on 7/20. On 7/20 I was told he was not available and directed to voicemail. This company has yet to have a manager call me or return calls regarding the damage to my vehicle.

I understand that I parked in error and was fine with paying an approx. $190 fee to retrieve my vehicle. What I am not fine with is a company that hires careless contractors to handle personal vehicles and then discourteously gives people the run around. My vehicle is seriously damaged and I have been without it for a week and they can't pick up a phone and take responsibility like a decent business.

This company tows for all sorts of businesses, apartments, restaurants, etc. I understand parking spaces are at a premium but no one deserves a damaged or inoperable vehicle as a result of their negligence in towing and greed.
