This shop installed a lift on my truck. It was fine for a few weeks. I took the truck on a big trip with my dad and brother who came in from outa town to go fishing. We drove 3 hrs south and when we got off of the interstate going 75mph thru the mountains. We stopped for dinner. Going around the drive thru the tire rolled over. It was attached but it fell out wards.
After all was said and done it cost about a $1000 to get it home and a day in a shop to fix it. He failed to put in one of the most important parts in the front end which holds the A arms in place.instead he welded a piece of metal on there. Well a weld cannot hold all of the weight of a crew cab truck. It snapped and the tire rolled. If we had been going down the interstate we would have all died. I was pulling the boat and going thru the mountains.
What he did would be similar to putting your tires on your car and sending you down the road without the lug nuts on. It doesn't work. I never went back there because I know he does crap work and I am afraid he would cut my brake lines or something. He also said he would fix all my brake lines and all he did was loosen them and put a zip tie on them to hold them in place.
