I bought my KIA Spectra 2003 in KIA Hillside dealership (Hillside NJ). This dealership (manager David Conklin) makes tricks to avoid making warranty repairing. They tell you it is your fault if your car is broken even if you made all proper maintenance.

When my car (KIA Spectra 2003) was broken first time during warranty period (an engine suddenly stopped to work on the road), they told me that a SQUIRREL or RAT ate some cable, ant it was the reason for the engine to stop, but they could not explain me how I was able to drive with no this cable about 10 miles. I had to pay few hundred dollars for the repairing that they MUST do under warranty.

Second (and last) time it was happened again, the engine just stopped to work during driving. It was no any indication ("check engine" etc.), no leaks. I checked all liquids levels, everything was OK. I towed my car to the local mechanic, he did diagnostics and told that the engine is dead (low pressure within the engine, and a few cylinders were damaged) although all liquids levels are normal. The mechanic advised me to tow the car to the dealership because this case MUST be under warranty (current mileage 59,000, extended warranty 100,000).

I towed the car to this dealership and told them that the job must be pay-free for me because it was no any my fault. They promised to call me back. I waited two days and called myself. AFTER 2 DAYS they asked me to bring all maintenance documents from the beginning. I gave them all necessary documents for their consideration. After THREE DAYS they told that the breakage was happened because it was no coolant in the engine!

I showed them the diagnostics report from local mechanic but they just ignored it insisting that it was no coolant.

Question is: If it was so obvious, why they delayed almost a week to tell me that? The answer is: They dont want to provide warranty for the engine. You have to pay a lot of money for all breakages or just get rid of your car.

Also KIA does not provide any free rental car, and you to pay a lot of money for rent during the period when KIA dealership is delaying the repair.

Kia is not reliable car. It has problems too often, and if they don't provide proper warranty, you will be bankrupt. I think Kia sells cars with the price below market average and after that they just trying to save money to get rid of "warranty duties". So as a result, a cheapest car will be the most expensive for you.
