On june 3rd I bought a mercedes bens c class 240 for $15340.00 from a used car dealership called GRAY AUTO GROUP. The week I had the car I started having electrical, ignition, and check engine light problems. I notified the dealer (doug gray) right away to tell him about the problems and he told me to bring the car in that following week to get looked at.
Doug contacted me after a few days of my car being in his possession and said he couldn't fix my car because he didn't have the software to do so. He also said only Mercedes bens dearlership can fix my car so that's where I would have to take it.
I made a appointment with a Mercedes Bens dealership service shop to have my car diagnosed and inspected the following week. The results came back that my car was a lemon. I had wire cutting around my headlights, no functions from head unit, wrong size battery and incorrectly installed, brake discs worn and scored, power steering oil leaks, vent filter missing, and much more.
I took the car back to doug and asked for a full refund because my car was a lemon and he said no because nothing is wrong with the car. He also implied that Mercedes Bens dealership just want my money so they will tell me anything. I took what he said into consideration and I had my car inspected at another auto shop the same week. The results from this auto shop came back the same as the Mercedes Bens Dealership service center.
I faxed over both of my reports to doug and I gave him a call to let him know about everything. Doug told me to bring the car back and he would give me my money back but when I arrived to drop the car off he told me I can't have my money back because I put a few miles on the car. I then called the police and Doug took off in his car leaving the open sign on at the shop. Right now I am stuck with the car until legal actions take place. I have spent over $500 just to get the car diagnosed and inspected, I'm paying for rides to work everday, and my stress level is so bad that I'm starting counseling classes asap.
