Took my car into doug's auto repair/advised him of the problem
I was having with my car cutting off when ever the car made a stop. Advised doug to test drive the car so that he would be better able to determine and feel the problem for himself. He called me back state he did not need to drive the car with my coolant gone and the car running ruff he diagnoise the car as my head gasket. I asked him four or five times was he sure this was the problem. Still not sure he was giving me correct infor
i had my boyfrind/as well as my brother inlaw give him a call.
I do what to mention i had takne the car to two other shops before taking it to doug/both shop indicated it to be some problem with a electric censor/advised doug of the other two findings he stated he was 100% sure my car needed head gasket after doug completed the work I paid him $1,099.71 in cash.
Took the car drove it home no problem. Took it to work the next day car still doing the excat same thing it was doing before i took the car in. Called doug advised him car cut off again durning the exact same thing it was doing before he repair it state it would be a few days before he could get to it. So i continued to drive the car the next taking the back streets to get to work/one friday the 19th three days after he fix my car
while trying to make it to his shop the car stopped again/a police officer pushed me out of the street it just so happen the car stopped in front of Import auto repair the same indivudal who recommended doug to me my boyfriend had his car fix at import repair they advised me they only worked on foreign cars and told me to take it to doug auto. Could not drive the car left ot there called doug left message on phone i would try to get car back to him the next day. Called him the next morning advised him i was bring the car in upon arriving at his shop he was waiting for me i told him to get in the car so that i could show him what the car was doing we went for a test drive sure enough the car cut off again/doug stated is that what your car has been doing is said yes that the reason i brought the car into you for that problem. He got out of the car lifted the hood advised me that it was a converta pressure switch which he shut off advised me i only would need it if i took the car out of towm i would not get good gas mileage. I turned to doug i stated you just fixed the problem i was having
when i brought my car to go for nothing. Just by turning off a switch why did you fix my head gaskets when the problem has just been solved in front of me and you for nothing/took him back to the shop asked him to give it to me in writting what it would cost for me to have the switch fixed. He stated it would need a converter lockup soleniod/converta pressure switch/pan gasket side cover estimated repairs $200-250 dollars. After getting the infor i advised doug i would see him in small claims court.
