We purchased a mini-quad bike from All the Wheel Toys in Stuart, Florida on December 26. Upon purchase we were given a bike, instruction manual and 1 minute instructions. Basically the thing should work no differently than a standard lawnmower or weed eater engine. The bike was transported over 400 miles to a family members home it was to be a Christmas gift. Upon arrival, and after 3 days or trying to start the bike, following all directions and even attempting to call the store for assistance, we finally gave up and decided to return the bike to the store. We drove it (yet another) 400 miles back to All the Wheel Toys in Stuart, Florida for return. This was on January 2 (7 days after purchase). Upon arrival, the store owner met us with an already defensive stance before we said a word. We proceeded to tell him the story. He grabbed the bike and began dismantling a part of the engine in an attempt to get it running. When we told him that we no longer need the bike, as it was traveled almost 800 miles already, he became extremely volatile and took a physically threatening stance to the point where we decided it was best to immediately leave his store before his temper flared anymore than it was already starting to show. We took pictures (cell phone camera) of the store owner taking the bike apart, which is not something that is required per the manual to get the bike started, as well as pictures of us leaving the bike at the store.
I contacted my credit card company and advised them of the situation, which we are pursuing at this time.in a response to our credit card company, the store owner stated several lies;
1. He said that his store has NO return policy. This was not posted anywhere nor is this written on our invoice/receipt. He also verbally told us that we have 15 days when we questioned the warranty/return policy since we lived out of town.
2. He said that he simply put gas in the bike and it started. This is a lie I have pictures of him taking the engine apart to prove this.
So needless to say, the store owner has had the bike back since January 2 and refuses any refund. I would stay clear of shopping at All the Wheel Toys in Stuart, Florida at all costs. They do not back their products, refuse to make good on our purchase and became physically threatening to us when we returned the bike.
