Las Vegas Ripped me off for $1,250 and no car got repoed

Steve Nacht the owner of Greatest Deals on Wheels and his employee's of which talk badly about him are the biggest rip off dealership I've ever seen. Basically if you don't have very good credit you're stick going to a used dealership for a vehicle if you don't have enough cash to get a private vehicle for sale. I seen there website online viewing there cars and thought this dodge intrepid would be good and we had about 1000 to put down and it would be a great way for us to help build our credit up as a married couple.

We went in and test drove a dodge intrepid which we were told to only go around the block because of the gas well I'm not buying a vehicle I only drive around the block so I paid the $5 for gas. We didn't take it on the freeway which is our fault we should've. Anywase we liked the car it was roomy for us and seemed to be okay. I told them upfront that my license was suspended and that I only had an I.D. And that my husband would be the driver and he had a drivers license. They said that was fine and took copies of both our license and id with no problem.

We seen the financor guy who I thought was pretty okay until further dealings I found out he's just as bad as them. We signed the paperwork with both our names on it and gave them 1000. We were to within 2 wks give them another 500 then after that we'd start making the payments not at their location thru a financing company.

On the drive home we noticed the car wasn't doing so great that it was shaking and the engine idle was poor. Upon looking around in the car I found a paper (evidence) in the glove box that had some number on it. It looked like a code for a car problem. I typed it in on the internet and it said "miss fire in cylinder 1 &? (can't remember)." They sold us a car knowing that it had a miss in the engine and didn't mention one word of fixing or acknowledgement.

I called them up the next day and said we didn't want the car he said we could return it and pick another one. We did and also gave them part of the 500 due we gave them 250 so now we've gave them 1250 in total. We looked around all their cars seemed to have problems, mechanical and other. There were a couple suv's like ford explorers and we wanted one of them and most of them didn't have the ac working! To have a car on a car lot in Vegas with no AC is absolutely absurd! We found one and it drove okay, but they said it wasn't clean so that we could schedule for them to clean it one day next week. So we filled out the new paperwork and took the ford explorer home.

We drove the car for aprox. 2-3wks when they had contacted us stating that the loan won't go thru because I don't have a driver's license and that only my husband will be on the loan. I said no we both need to be on it, we both want credit for it on our credit reports. They said it will still go on both of our reports if it's under only his name. I didn't believe them. They said we had a couple days to fill out the paperwork.

Two days later we wake up to a black tow truck towing our vehicle away. I called the dealership when they opened up and said wtf is going on they said they towed it because the loan is not valid because of my license so there's no loan on it. I was pist had to get a ride to work. I went down there me and my husband and spoke with the financor and steve. They said either put it in my husbands name or get my license so I said we'll just take our money back they said you're not getting any of your money back you've had the car for almost a month and how much do you think it'd cost to rent a car for almost a month? They stated to rent a car for almost a month would be over $1250 that we gave them and we'd be getting no money back. I'm like to rent a 1997 ford explorer a 10yr. Old vehicle wouldn't be 1250 for 3wks and you should've not filed the papers for the loan if you knew there would be a problem because I didn't have my license.

I called Steve Nacht for the next couple weeks and was told he was on vacation. Yeah probabbly with my $1,250! I do think they're closing down though as I've seen closing ads on Craigslist.org for vehicle's for sale. Oh yeah I almost forgot I filed a report to the BBB and they responded saying a nasty letter that I was in fact trying to get over on them by not having my license and that I was a liar!!! I was so apauled! I NEVER lied to them they knew from the get go. They are so shady!

Months have past and I'm sure I'll never recover my hard earned money which is a shame because I don't have a lot of it. Do they know how hard it was to get another vehicle after spending my savings for a car??? From the things I've looked up the New Jersey location isn't any better and I don't know how Steve Nacht was in some magazine!
