I took my vehichle into the Kwik car to be repaired. The mechanic, Chris, took off the back brakes and put new ones on, and also replaced the rear passenger caliper. One week later, returned to Kwik Kar and the caliper had come loose and it was rubbing, Chris claims he fixed it.
Two weeks after that, I took it back because the caliper was still rubbing, he said it was a bad caliper and ordered a new caliper and in the mean time telling me that they could NOT gurantee the parts that they were purchasing. I then took the car back 1 week later and they now tell me it is the master cylinder, I bought my own master cylinder and they replaced it.
The car did okay, two weeks went by, the caliper is still rubbing, I take it back into the Kwik kar and Chris bangs on the caliper, and the owner Rich, tells me that I Now need a powerbooster. I am very upset at this point and I then take it to another garage and It is now fixed properly. Everything that Kwik Kar told me was wrong, was not. It was a pin sticking on the caliper, not the caliper itself. I did have the powerbooster replaced, but do you honestly think I was going to take it back to Kwik Kar, after everything I had just been thru?
No, I took it some where, Where I knew it would be fixed correctly. I am taking Kwik Kar to small claims. I feel I was taken advantage of. My brother and Boyfriend went to the Kwik Kar and told them, that if something happens to me in a wreck or something, they will file a lawsuit with kwik Kar.
