My wife and i purchesed a 96 chev. Truck there in july of 98 and was satisfied with the way we were treated, until january of 99 when we went back and purchesed a new jeep cherokee limit.
The two autos cost us a total of $72,282dollars.
When the jeep was bought we went to the same salesman that sold us the pickup, because he seemed like an honest fellow. His name is duke {avoid this man}, while the sale was being transacted we took the jeep for a ride around the town for a total of three miles as we were trading in a 96 cherokee we knew what they were like.
The papers were drawn up, but we couldn't take it home because it had to be preped first and undercoated. While this was going on, i called over there and asked to have a headbolt heater installed, as the v8 engine is stiff in the winter. I was told that it was a straight six. I said forget it, i don't want a six cyl. Engine. Duke, informed me that i would not notice the difference in horse power on the highway and that i would save big on gas. There is supposedlly only 40hp difference in the engines. When i wanted to exchange it for a v8 because of lack of hp., i was told that it would cost me another $5,000.00. The sticker on the window of the jeep shows only a $800.00 dollar add on for a v8. They refuse to take it back. And chrysler damlier won't help in anyway because it is not a defect.
Consumer beware the dealerships are only there to help until after the sale. And the straight six jeep is not what it claims to be. It shifts up and down constantly on small inclines there is no power there at all. Don't waste your money... Help me get revenge.
