They charged Me $1450.00 to repair My transmission and They couldnt repair it and Didnt refund the Labor or Parts

I had a leak coming from the bottom of My jeep so I called around and was given quotes to get the Jeep looked at. I went with mcniels because they said that they would not charge for the diagnosis and it would be $50.00 for the tow. When mcniels diagnosed it they said it was a crack in the transmission casing and that the casing was so far damaged from rust and dirt that the alluminum casing would have to be replaced. So when I was informed that it was a transmission problem I called around and found a cheaper quote at Freeway transmission so I was going to get the work done there and not at mcniels, so when I informed mcniels about me taking the jeep I was told it would be $ 120.0 after taxes to take my jeep out, (this was after I was told there would be no diag charge just a tow charge, and now when I dont want to work with them they put the diag charge on). Or they could price match Freeways quote. So they price matched within 50 dollars so I let them do the work, oh and they said that they would take the diag charge off if I went with them. (This was Dave that was doing my paperwork and informing me of what the problems were and the pricing qoutes). So I let them do the work because the jeep was already there.

I go to get the jeep out because they say that its ready and the used transmission casing was working fine. I am driving up to my house and I cant shift gears, Mind you the problem before was just a leak in the transmission case. So I bring it back they deem it a defective transmission that was put in. Now they have to put another used transmission in and see if that fixes the problem and another charge for labor, I have no other option because they said to replace it with a new rebuilt transmission would be a extra 800 bucks I have already spent 1200 dollars at this point and my transmission is not fixed so I go for the cheaper option of another used transmission.

This time I go back to pick it up and they claim that the problem now is in the clutch. I just had a new clutch put in 2 mos prior so I knew it wasnt in the clutch and they want more money to work on the transmission. So I tell them not to do anymore to the jeep I am taking it elsewhere because they cant seem to fix the problem. Now I go to get the jeep and My windshield is split from top to bottom and my jeep wont go into first or reverse and they woulndt refund any of my money. I take it to the shop that did the clutch and they pulled the clutch and called mcniels to show them it wasnt in the clutch. So Mike Mcniel (Owner of MCniels) took my transmission that I had already paid for With no auth from me and told the new shop that he was going to give me a full refund and return my old transmission so that the new shop can do the work.
Mike MCniel told the new shop that they were going to just bring my old transmission back and give me a full refund, they brought my old transmission to the new shop missing parts (dowell pins) and just threw in the shop and drove off. Now Mike the owner personally called me and said that he would have a full refund for me and I can come get the check so I go down to get the check and he wants me to sign a paper stating that I cannot take claims against them in court and I cant blog against them on the internet if I settle for a refund of 950.00. (I have already paid them 1450.00 so far and nothing was working properly) So I wouldnt sign the paper and I just wanted my refund. Mike at Mcniels said that he wasnt going to give me nothing but the refund for the faulty transmission and thats it. All I have got back from them was 750. And I am back to square one with a defective transmission and now I have a cracked winshield and in the hole 750.00 dollars from the charges that they wont refund. Plus I just lost my job so I have no car to get a new job and no cash to live on at this point because I dumped it all on Mcniels.
I was always really nice with these people through this whole ordeal and didnt snap until they wouldnt refund any of the other charges that I was charged by them for work that wasnt done properly and them installing bad non working parts, more than Once.

There's alot more to this story this is just the short version and I am now taking Mcniels auto care to small claims court for the rest of the money and the new windshield cost.

My jeep is still bieng repaired 3 weeks later.
