Sold me a lemon and lied, lied, lied

In April I ordered a scooter. They did not have what I ordered and offered me an "upgrade" for no additional cost. So far, so good.

I finally received the bike - a Roketa Bermuda 150 - about 2 weeks after promised delivery in a banged up crate. I did not see any instructions to complete the assembly (wheels, mirrors, battery) and called customer service. I was told I didn't need instructions because it was so simple.

I looked online for help elsewhere and couldn't find what I needed so called AllNewSports again. This time I was told the instructions and tools were in the storage area under the seat. I guess I was just supposed to know this.

Got the thing together and enjoyed riding it for a couple of weeks.

In the meantime I waited and waited for my ownership papers so I could register it with DMV. The finally came after about 2 months and I had to pay a Penalty for registering the vehicle after 30 days of purchase. I asked AllNewSports to reimburse me for that and they quoted their policy that allows them 60 days to send those papers. Technically they may have not done anything wrong but the fact they didn't give a flying hooey about their customers should have been a big red flag of what was to come.

One day the scooter died. I took it to a repair place and they said the ignition switch was dead. Per the warranty I sent it back to AllNewSports and after a month or so I received the replacement. THE WRONG PART.

I sent it back again and they sent ANOTHER WRONG PART after several weeks.

Then there was much research to be done by them because they were positive they were sending the correct part. They asked me to send a picture of the original and I said "How can I do that when I SENT IT BACK TO YOU per the warranty procedure?" At this point it is already September (remember I got the bike in April?) and I can't ride it. They asked for the serial number and other identifying things. Apparently they don't have records of what they send people.

As you may be able to tell by the time lapses, I am a very patient person (or maybe just an idiot, lol), but I gave them MORE than enough time to rectify the situation each time.

In December I still had not received the part and I contacted them again. They were oh-so-nice and apologetic and promised the part would be coming immediately.

Weeks later and no part. Again I had to contact them (cuz god forbid they should be proactive in their customer service) and was told the part was on back-order.

So here we are in April. A full year later and the bike is still in my backyard waiting for the correct ignition switch.

I have a call into to my bank to see if I can get a charge-back on the credit card, but my hopes are not high since it was a year ago. I really don't want to file a law-suit, but I will if I have to.
