I Interviewed and accepted a position with Chuck Clancy Auto Group in October, leaving a position to do so. I was painted a picture of opportunity while warned by many people in the industry that they go through good people like crazy. The store already had a very bad reputation in the area but I was told that was going to change. I was sold a bill of goods my the General Manager Ron Riggins and by Chuck Clancy that as long as it "felt good and was moral and legal... That's how we did business." As I was to find out in the coming weeks that was complete lip service. Promises were made and they were broken. I know this is typical in many industries but it does not make it right. When you have other offers and refuse them because you made commit to someone. When you are told not a month before that you have a future with a company and "are bullet proof". It tends to make you think. So be aware... Because if they can't be ethical and honest to those who work for them how can you expect them to be honest and ethical to those who buy and service their vehicles from them.
Not even two days after being told I was being let go they came back to me with an offer for less than a third of what I was making... This was after they knew I took a lesser offer from them based on their sales pitch. I could give you a laundry list of items but it feels good to get this off my chest. Just PLEASE beware! Buy your Chevy a Day's... Buy your Chrysler Jeep from Ed Voyles or elsewhere.
