I took my car to North Main Street Getty in Clinton for an inspection sticker. My car failed inspection because my plate lights were out and I had a break light out. They also told me that I had an exhaust leak, and that my tire was bad. They quoted me $15 for the lights, $50 for a new tire, and said they would have to look at the exhaust to quote it for me. They quoted the exhaust at $146 for parts and $90 for labor. I told them to do the work.
They called me latter in the day and told me that I needed a new 02 sensor, and it would cost $120. I told them to go a head and replace the sensor that they broke. The original quote for my car was $321. The price whent from $321 to $555 over night. Then when I picked my car up it was sitting outside running. They had hit the automatic starter who knows how long it was runnning for. They also said I needed rear break work, my rear breaks are fine. Avoid this mechanic at all costs.
