On Sunday, March 2, the owner of Hai's Arco charged my debit card for gas on Station #4, I was at #1. My car holds maximum of 11 gal. I was charged for 18 gal. At $3.239, plus the $20 "cash back" I requested. Total was $80.95. I went back to them 4 hours later for a refund, told to come back the next day to speak with the owner. She remembered me, said it was my fault for paying when she called #4, even though I'd told her I was #1. I realize I should have calculated the error at that moment, but was in a hurry and went off without doing so.
I asked her for a refund of at least $20 because I'm a good customer, she remembers me, and knows there was an error. She agreed there was an error, but said it was " my responsibility" and she would do nothing.
I realize I was foolish not to check it out immediately; but, this station needs to value my business (for over 15 years) and give me a refund.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? I wonder if it was intentional?
