I purchased a 2007 Nissan Altima from your dealership I was very proud to show my car off after all it was my first new car since my wife and I have been married for 23 years I was so proud that I took my eldest daughter down to your dealership and helped her buy a 2007 Nissan Versa long story short you fixed all her problems and more she now has a list of goodies that your dealership gave her for all her inconviences which she deserved for all the trouble she had, I feel better for her now it's time for my issue I've had 2 recalls
No big deal it's expected, before my last visit I had a light appear on so I figured I'd kill 2 birds at once it was my low tire pressure light I was informed that my tires have nitrogen in them and for $ 40.00 dollars I would be fine 2.5 hours later I'm told that my new upgraded rims don't have sensors in them and it would cost around $600.00 to install new ones not only was I taken back buy the quote I was furious at the service advisors comments that if I don't have the money I could just put a piece of tape over the light in my dash so it didn't bother me, how dare your advisor suggest something so down grading this car cost me $545.00 a month for seven years and your dealership never once told me about any sensors in my rims and if I upgraded to take my sensors out of the other rims I would of: if noted or told anytime. They had 8.5 hours during my purchase to do so never once was nitrogen in my tires or sensors in my rims mentioned that's were I feel your dealership is negligent in informing me as a consumer. I feel I'm rather smart I have a class A license and deal with big trucks all day in fact 62 every day for Waste Management and never knew this item existed. All I want is this item corrected, put in used sensors do whatever I don't care this light needs to be fixed now that's not asking much due to your dealerships negligence and the fact that not once are the sensors mentioned in my Manuel anywhere that's where Nissan North America is negligent. Please fix my problem and start informing your customers so they don't have this issue. I don't want to threaten anyone however my next step is informing twelve on your side, the BBB, and William Bosely / Alan Childs with Nissan North America. I'm waiting for your responses please help me. I am a disappointed consumer that can be easily fixed that's why I'm asking you first. PS I would love to fill out the survey I have with all positive marks and continue to give your dealership repeat business. His response was for $200.00 dollars he would fix my car, at this point the money was the issue they should fix this car for free they just made $25,000 on the sale. I emailed back:

Thank you for your call back concerning my issue on my 2007 Nissan Altima, Per our discussion on 1-12-08 you offered to replace the sensors at half your cost of $200.00 for my Low Tire Pressure Monitoring System and eliminate the light that stays on because I upgraded my rims thru a private party I could never afford to get them any other way and I never knew that this item existed. During our discussion you said that because I've had my car a year you felt that your dealership shouldn't be responsible as a buyer of your extended warranty this didn't sound good I purchased the wheels one month ago and that's when my problem was discovered I don't go looking for problems I try to solve them as they appear, I told you my car only has 4,500 miles on it and was purchased just to get my family safely around on the weekends, this car is perfect in every way except a stupid yellow light on my dash, I'm sorry but I've discussed this with my wife and we both agree I won't pay $200.00 for what I think is still negligence on behalf of your dealership for never mentioning the do's and don'ts of this safety feature during an 8 and a half hour purchase and Nissan North America for not mentioning this anywhere in my Owners Manuel how else am I to find this out if for $25,000 I was never told or warned in writing.

They responded:
I don't believe that the dealership is negligent in this matter in anyway. I was trying to help in the situation as a good faith effort. I am sorry that the arrangements I tried to work out for you are not acceptable to you. If there is anything else I can do please let me know. The offer still stands till the end of January if you would like to take advantage of it.

Thanks for your quick response, sorry you feel that way. I will move to the next step to resolve my issue. BBB, Nissan Survey, email William Bosely and Allen Childs

With Nissan North America, contact 12 news on your side, and break ties with Midway Nissan with any issue I have in the future. Sorry your dealership couldn't

Afford $200.00 to take care of a customer that spent $25,000 way to go

He Replied: Sometimes there is no pleasing people and this seems to be one of cases. You seem to forget the goodwill gesture of 400.00 I have already taken off the price and asked you to participate in only a third of it. Again if you would have taken your car to a certified tire shop you would have been informed at that time that the air sensors should have been switched from your old rims to your new ones. I am sorry you want to make me responsible for decisions to save a buck. I will also be informing Nissan of your attempt to hold me for ransom in regards to your daughters survey.

First of all this man is mad I saved big money on my rims and tires and says I didn't use a certified tire company well Discount Tire is pretty big and they didn't mention any sensors in my wheels since then: they all have a posterboard standing in the lobby of the tire store I replied:

Once again you show me I made the wrong choice midway Nissan has hired incompetent employees the survey was sent to me from your service department and has been mailed due to your ignorant response.

Have a nice day Mr. They keep blaming everyone but themselves I have since reported this to the BBB and they said the same to them, they are not at fault this is a safety item and should be discussed in it's entire content to every buyer.
