In November of last year, I went for a routine brake inspection that revealed my brakes were fine. Two day's later, I had an unusual amount of brake dust on the rims and the brakes were grabbing when turning corners. I went back and Value Brakes denied any wrong.
When I finally took my vehicle to a competitor, they showed me extensive brake damage to the brake hoses (they were severely pinched) from when the Value Brake mechanic removed and reinstalled the calipers. He stated I was lucky they did not break causing me to lose hydraulic pressure and leaving me unable to stop.
When I contacted the regional Manager, I settled verbally for $150 and was told I would receive the money within two weeks. It's been longer and although I've contacted the main office in FLA and have been promised a return phone call regarding the reimbursement, all have failed to return a call. This company has showed extreme poor business ethics and I'd like to see them out of SC.
