Buyers Beware!!!
I had the extreme dissatisfaction of ordering a VW Jetta engine from this company on 10/26/07. I needed a replacement engine for my VW Jetta. My friend found their website and phoned in to the 800#. Joyce was the Salesperson who promised a VW Jetta engine with 30K miles on it for $1,750.00 plus $175 shipping fee. My mechanic said this was a great deal since the engines that he knew locally were much more, so I ordered it and paid by credit card. I live in FL and the company is in NY.
They promised to ship out on Monday 10/29.By Wednesday, I phoned the company to get a tracking number. When you call into the number, you're almost immediately put on hold and they hardly answer by identifying their business name. After getting the run around from several folks in the office, I spoke to Joyce again who says she doesn't have the paperwork on it but will call or fax me when she does. They hardly call you back when they tell you they are and when they do, they always *69 anonymously call their victims.
My mechanic finally receives an engine around 11/5. He tests it on the delivery truck and it was locked up so he refused it. Contacted the company back and they promised to send out another one with a 90 day warranty. Another engine was sent out on 11/12 and it had no compression and had a lot of rust. My mechanic again said he wouldn't recommend using this engine unless the company would warranty the labor for a replacement, if needed.
After several conversations back and forth with Joyce, the owner John and a lady by the name of Tazlin, they said they would send out another one.By this time my car had been in the shop 2 and half weeks waiting on a good engine! John tells me he is sending out the first one again because it was working but now it has a fly wheel missing.
I told John I wanted a refund. He yells when he talks and doesn't allow you to say anything. He said he would have to charge me for shipping and a missing piece on one of the broken engines that we refused. Why would he charge me anything if he was honest? 2 separate shipments of defective engines.
Of course, I have notified my CC company and they have assured me that they will take care of this dispute. I'm out $1,928 and still no engine. The young girl in the office *69ed me again to ask me my CC info so she "could reverse the charges". Yeah right!!! They like to hang up on you also.
It's unbelievable that these people are able to sleep at night knowing how they treat others. I hope a news show with cameras pays them a visit.
