Complaint / Review
One Stop Motors
Persuasive, persistent, adamant, Las Vegas Nevada

After placing my ad for my BMW in the local Autotrader magazine, I received a call from a Steve claiming he was with One Stop Motors. He told me that he could place an online add, with my pictures and my description of my car. He went on to say that they offer financing through various banks they are affiliated with. To further sweeten the deal, they promised free shipping to any prospective buyer in the country. All this at a price of $500 dollars. I turned the gentleman down and said no thanks.

A week later I got a call from Steve again to see how my luck was running on my car. I told him I had a couple of tire kickers but no one biting. He told me again about the offer, but this time he someone from the BMW department on the line, Amanda. Miss Amanda went on to say that I could get more money for my car than what I was initially asking for on Autotrader. She went on to say that the average turnaround on vehicles sold was about 7-8 weeks. I again, respectfully turned down the offer.

Another two weeks went by, and I had a gentleman call me inquiring about my BMW. He probably could tell by the disappointment in my voice that I hadnt sold it (one of their tactics). Well this time, it wasnt Steve, but someone else. At this time I was somewhat annoyed by their high pressure sales tactics. This gentleman was a little more forceful than the previous rep. He told me that I too could get more money for my car, the financing to prospective buyers was something that ebaymotors could not offer. Again this time, I was put through to Amanda in the BMW department and she was convinced that I could get more money for the car. This time I agreed and I gave them my credit card number and information.

Three months later

Not one lead. Not one prospective buyer. Not one phone call.

The only thing I get are emails reminding me that I need to sometimes change the verbage on the online ad.

When i call, i am told to wait a little longer. I was even told by one customer service rep that i should consider placing my car on ebaymotors. I told him, thats what im paying you clowns for!

When asked how and what they were doing specifically to market my BMW, I was given a list of other auto online websites. Other websites, frankly that I never heard of. (I wonder if they arent in co hoots with each other).

As it stands, Ive lowered my price to what I initially wanted to sell it for on AutoTrader.
For the $500 investment, I could have placed my add in 10 different markets in the US with a lot less hassle.

Its no wonder that the search engine Google has placed the complaint at the top of the list when searching the words one stop motors. I wish I would have done my due diligence and researched this company a little more thoroughly.

I plan to file a report with my states BBB.

For those that have been taken advantage of this site and cannot get an answer through the customer service. I did some research and found this email address. The contact is
