This company hired me to install the bluetooth modules in the Mercedes-Benz automobiles because I had experience working at a Verizon Wireless authorized dealer. I started on the first few days without any training on how the COMAND system in the Mercedes-Benz cars work.
I was trained 4-5 days after the new hire orientation. I also told the Human Resources Manager that I had a learning disability and needed "reasonable accomodations" to be made. The accomodations were made in the Parts Department but not in the Sales Department. The Parts Manager (my boss) probably did not tell the Sales Managers or the Sales Consultants that I had a disability. The people that work in the Sales Department told the Parts Manager that I was not learning quick enough and I needed to be replaced. There were other complaints made by them as well. I am wondering how come these people did not want to resolve any problems with me and telling my boss? I was new and if there is something I am doing wrong, tell me please. Furthermore, coach me. I was let go later on.
Overall, I did not get a fair chance to succeed. Also, they expected too much from me for so little pay and requiring me to wear a dress shirt, tie, and dress pants.
