Well i bought a 2000 celica when my husband was deployed in jan. I had looked around and decided to go to joe heitz bc i had bought a car from them before. I walked in and immediately like 5 sales people came rushing over. My daughter was a month old then and i didnt have my husband with me so they probably thought i was real vulnerable. I seriously trusted them and thought they would give me a good deal on a used car. I had a 98 lexus to trade in that we got from them and they only gave me $2700 for it and i know it was worth more than that. But i was stupid and i just wanted a different car. Well the salesman didnt even let me look at any other cars. He was set on sellin me that celica. It was priced at 11,999 and i didnt think it was that bad. Me and my husband both had really good credit then and he stuck us with a 19% interest rate. We woulda ended up paying 20,000 for that car. He didnt offer me gap insurance or a carfax or anything. Well a month later it broke down in the middle of nowhere.
I had to pay 300 to fix it. Then the odometer and speedometer went out and a valve or something broke. Then it started skipping and it would overheat all the time. Of course since were military we are poor so paying 400 a month for that car plus insurance we did not have the money to keep fixing this car...
When my husband came home from iraq we tried to trade it in several times and then some other car salesman said our trade in value would be like 4 or 5000 bc of the problems. Then he gave me a carfax and thats when i saw that the celica had been totaled 2 times and wrecked another. I was so pissed off.
Well to make the long story shorter... We had to voluntarily repo the celica bc nobody would take it. We were upside down so we just got rid of it and its ruined our credit. And when we went back to try to trade it in to joe heitz (before the repo) again figuring that they could help us since they were the ones who sold us the piece of crap... Nobody knew the salesman and we were just s-o-l!
So now our credit is horrible but we got a new car anyways... So even though joe heitz says they are a good and loyal car lot... Think again because they are just a bunch of shit eating liars! And man did they see me coming
