On July 20 I had taken my 98 blazer into Wally's Auto Service. This garage is located about a mile away from my place. I have never used this garage before but drove by many times and seen that they had cars in their lot. I was in a bind and didn't know what was wrong with my car. It had broken down on the freeway two days prior.
Last winter I had just spent hundreds of dollars to put in a new fuel pump, injector and tank. When Wally's had called me and told me that a strange substance was put into my tank and that my fuel pump was shot. So long story short, I ended up paying a bill over $800 for a new fuel pump. However the car still ran rough and they said I would have to replace the spider injectors.
Last week my car broke down, won't run or even turn over. I had called Wally's and they said they had never flushed out my tank and cleaned the injectors and I was told to bring it back to them so they can look at it cause they aren't sure what's wrong with it.
Needless to say i was wery of taking my car back. I now have a relaible mechanic who wasn't available before looking at my truck. He said that my fuel pump was not a new one even though I was charged over $500 for a new one and they tank was not dropped and flushed. Which means that what ever crud was in the system would of fried the fuel pump they put in.
I'm a single mother and my car is the only source I have in order to get to work and kids to school. And I'm sure many women out there are getting ripped off every day who are in my type of situation.
I just want to say never will I ever go there nor refer anyone to have service done there. Not only am I out $800 now I have to pay more money for another fuel pump cause Wally's never did the job right in the first place.
And I have nothing to show for it cause I am a women and I don't know the mechanic terms and what do is suppose to be done in order not to get ripped off by garages like Wally's. I do however have my receipt and the word from the current mechanic fixing Wally's mistakes.
