My husband drove our 2006 Toyota Sienna UNDENTED and UNDAMAGED to EXTRA CAR parking to be parked there from June 20th until June 26. When he picked up the van on the 26th, he noticed our rear bumper sticking out on the drivers side. The van had been wrecked and the rear bumper was dented and pushed out. He went immediately back in to the service counter before ever driving the van off the lot. CELESTE VERONE took pictures of our van and took the report my husband filed about the damage.
Long story short, EXTRA CAR refused to admit that they did the damage and made excuses for the employees and refused to pay for any part of the damage. So including our parking fee and the insurance deductible we had to pay, essentially we paid over $300.00 to park our van there for one week! I spoke to MIKE " MICKEY " VERGILLO about the situation and he said he would refund the money we paid to park their, but he never did that. He is not a man of his word and this company should be avoided.
It cost over $700.00 to fix our van - of which we had to pay $250.00. We received a letter from our insurance company that their efforts to reclaim the money including our deductible from EXTRA CAR or their insurance company were not possible.
MIKE VERGILLO did not return our calls until we left upset messages on his voicemail. Mistakes and accidents do happen, but the person or people that make the mistakes or have the accidents should take responsibility for their actions and EXTRA CAR DOES NOT DO THAT. They will take your money for the parking fees, damage your car and deny it and never pay for the damage or any part of repair costs. This parking lot should be avoided at all costs. We are not the first people to say these things or feel this way about this business.
