Transmission Blew on trip to Montana

HI, my uncle had a bad experience with this used car lot in washington. He purchased a 01 chevy prisim with around 100k on the car. Shortly after his purchase the check engine light came on. It was a bad o2 sensor. About 200$ to replace. Not a real big deal but then...

The big problem happened a month after he bought it when he came out to MT to visit us. On his way back the transmission blew in the butte area and he was stranded. The local shop had to order the tranny from Utah. He caught a ride back to tacoma so he could start working to pay off the bill.

The bill comes to around 2k dollars and car city wont even pitch in one penny. I called them myself and tired talking to dean berglund but he wouldn't budge. He stated the car was used and told me i was SOL. Said my uncle probally didnt know how to drive an automatic and accidently downshifted it causing it to blow.

I tired to get him to help with the bill but he wouldnt do anything. Dean kept saying he made no money on the deal... BULLCRAP! I know better than that. Ive been around used cars and mechanica my whole life. I know he made 500 dollars on the deal.

I know its a used car BUT you should stand behind your product. Ive purchased used vehicles before and months down the road ive had stuff go wrong and the dealers stood behind their products. If they didnt pay the whole bill they at least helped with the bill.

I wrote this so people may read it and be aware of how this place does business. Ive lived in MT my whole life and we do deals on a handshake. One person trusts another and if they tell you something you take their word for it. If something isnt right you stand behind your word and you fix whats wrong and make it right.

I know im going to get the critics saying "its a USED CAR" he signed the papers knowing that. Blah blah blah. Thats not the point. The point is this company has sold crap to people before and you can see that from this site. People need to see this and be aware of what this company has done to help out their unfortunate customers... JACK CRAP!
