Miller's towed our vehicle on April 3 after we filed police report for vandalization. They immediately sent us notice by certified mail that we owed them money. That would have been okay.
The nightmare started when we informed them that they would not be doing the bodywork, but we would go to a shop authorized by our insurance company. I went to Miller's and was informed by Donald Wojhan that I had made a bad decision, etc, etc, but he would arrange to have the vehicle picked up by Greenfield Collision, as I requested.
The run-around that Miller's gave to Greenfield and me was incredible. They had me calling and calling; I was reduced to begging them to release my vehicle. The woman who answered gave me the excuse that "the owner has to come back and okay it" Three times they told Greenfield to come on over, and then reneged when the Greenfield truck got there.
It took until April 11th to get my vehicle to the right place. What makes this worse is that I have been informed that this is common practice for many Harris County tow companies. Sure, they dun the insurance company for the outrageous accumulation of tow and storage fees, but that's my money, too!
No wonder Harris County residents have to pay so much for car insurance when crooks like this take advantage of the system.
