*Explanation I bought the car on July 6 and the problems began to occur July 13. I was hearing a rattling noise and became concerned. I thought it was just the door or something minor. And the car would also throb when at HWY speed of 60. So I called Auto Max to ask what I need to do, they said, "take it into the Dodge dealership and they should look at it and fix it, because it is still under warranty." I took the car into the Dodge Dealership on July 17.
I took it into the Dodge dealership and they told me that it was not the door that the rear bushings were cracked and need to be replaced, they had to order the parts and I had to go back and 7-18-07 to get that fixed. They also checked the door for linkage, because water had been coming in the door. They informed me that the car had been broken into and they fixed the door the best they could. They realinged the door and replaced the seal. The throbbing noise was because the tires needed to be balanced and rotated.
So then I took it to Goodyear tires in Lancaster off of Dallas Ave. And the macanic informed me there that this car (the Dodge Stratus) was unsafe for me to be driving. He said that the 2 back tires had flat spots on them and they were separated from the rim. And he also told me that the tie rods were not tight, that they were lose and that the bushings were cracked.
So here I am stuck in a car that is unsafe for me and my baby. When I called Auto Max they told me that there is nothing that they can do. We asked to receive our money back, or to be put into another car, or for them to a lest pay to have new tires and they said they couldn't do anything at all for us. They were rude, they wouldn't answer our calls, and when we would go up there they would make us wait and then no one would talk to us and when we did talk to someone they told us that there was nothing that they could do. There customer service was very unsatifactory. And they sold us a car that is unsafe!!! I could have had a wreck in this car, injuring myself and my unborn child!
