I had been speaking with the bank, they KNEW my situation, that I had lost my good paying job in mid-January, and had NO INCOME coming in, until I finally got a new job in mid-March to which I didn't get a first paycheck until the end of March.By this time, I had (and they knew) many bills to try to catch up, so I tried to pay each one of them a little at a time, to at least not fall behind until I could figure something out. So I spoke with my landlord, whom graciously let me out of my lease still oweing $400, but could have bee $1200, but SHE UNDERSTOOD.
In the beginning I talked with and/or called AmeriCredit, and ONCE, there was actually this one girl, who was cordial & nice to me, she understood, and I had told her I will be sending payments in best I can to catch up, and that I had also just mailed a check for $200 to start. She said, thank you, and that was fine, BUT then the very next day, MS NASTY called over & over, so I finally answered, she was rude, hateful, insulting and demanding to the point she set off my disease, that she knew I had, and I almost committed suicide because of her, and quite honest, I am contemplating it again.
In the beginning I did talk to them, until it didn't matter whether I did or not because either way & no matter what I would say or do, they were going to call 10 & 15 times a day anyway, and IF I talked to them, they would just continue to harass, insult & demand things of me I could not possibily do, and aggravate my mental illness disease. I kept more regular contact by email, as that is a choice they give you as to how you want to be contacted; however it never worked. I continued to make weekly payments, until I moved, which came up suddenly at the last minute, so I spent three - four weeks trying to move and come up with rent, security & utility deposits, because having a roof over my head is number one.
Just as I got moved to start saving some money & catching up, and was still making some payments to at least keep it from falling further behind, they repossessed my car. I was actually online trying to make another payment, & it wouldn't let me, so I called AmeriCredit and as I was on the phone, the repo man showed up! Then this Ms. Thompson was rude, insulting and accused me of trying to hide the car & that I was stealing their property aka the bank's. And went on to accuse me of refusing to release the car & giving the repo man a hard time, which is all untrue. She asked me to put him on the phone, which I handed it to him, but he wouldn't accept, so I told her he would speak to no one, except his direct boss. She accused me again of trying to "steal" their property by not releasing it to him. I told her I was NOT trying to do anything, that the repo guy honestly would not talk to her, and that they can have the car if that's what she's worried about.
THEN, later after I got everything out of the car & was just having a chat with the repo man (actually about how this woman & company treats people) THIS Ms. Thompston CALLED HIS BOSS & told him I was rude, insulting and I had tried to hide the car & that I was stealing their property aka the bank's. And went on to accuse me of refusing to release the car & giving the repo man a hard time NOT TRUE... I'm so insulted & disgusted and pissed off red hot MAD! They have been rude, hurt me, confused me, harrassed me & insulted me beyond belief. This was Friday evening and it's now Sunday. So I can tell you, they are NOT going to work with me in any way, they never have... Not once I signed those papers & took the car home. At the very least they will want all their $ up front which will now be around $1200 or more with adding my current payment, more late fees, plus the repo charges & etc. If I had that, I would have paid it to begin with.
Now all I have is bad credit, $150 to my name, which incidently I was getting ready to pay on my car in addition to the $54 I had just paid Tuesday, and I'm an emotional/mental mess. I am/will lose my job over this. I have no idea how I'm going to get to work, guess I'll have to quit, because once they find out, I'm history anyway. Besides AmeriCredit demanded my new number & I gave it to them, and although they wouldnt talk to me and/or discuss anything with me Friday, they were already on the phone harrassing me again first thing Saturday. And now they have my new work number, but I made it clear to her they CAN NOT contact me there... It's against company policy, and all she did was say... Uh huh okay... What is your work num ber Ms. Crigger.
My son heard me tell her should couldn't call me there AND that she demanded my number anyway. Now here I am, no way to get to work, will lose my job anyway once they find out, no car, no $, falling back into severe depression. I have a lifelong illness of depression/mental/emotion problems along with Anxiety issues... They sometimes call it Bipolar II, and has been said I have a social phobia. But to them... It's ALL A JOKE, and even when I'm dead it still will be.
And just Tuesday I only owed $650 past due & like $70.00 late fees, but they added my current payment due to it right AFTER I made the 54 payment that brought it down to 650 AND I was gettin ready to pay another 150 yesterday, which would have made it 500 only 1 1/2 months behind, AND they knew it, b/c I TOLD them, but NOOOOOO. I have been making some sort of payment to Americredit almost weekly just to keep it from falling any further behind, so I could catch it up, but it wasn't enough. I even just made another 54.00 payment Tuesday & was getting ready to make another of 150.00, but couldn't b/c they froze my account, so I called them & while on the phone... The repo man actually showed up.
I missed last Monday due to an allergic reaction & the previous Monday a massive migraine, so I can NOT miss anymore or I'm gone. Also IF they find out, I got my car repossed and/or Americredit starts calling there, I'll lose my job. AND Americredit JUST got my new number here yesterday and they were already calling here today... This comes AFTER they repo'd my car AND they would not speak with me about any kind of arrangements, so what the hell are they calling for... What the hell do they want me to say? THEN, they asked for my work place & number... insisted, so I gave it to the, BUT told them (with Bran as my witness) that I don't know why they want it b/c they MUST NOT & CAN NOT CALL ME AT WORK, company policy & I would lose my job, then both I & Americredit get's NOTHING. Know what she said, uh huh, and can you repeat that number!!! *$%$%!!
So here I am again, in worse shape than b4 my bankruptcy b/c now I have the bankruptcy, can't file again & I can't get any loan to pay that full amount to get my car back and now I will lose my job. I threw away all my good clothes as you know, & was trying to get some more clothes to wear, but that's out. My computer crashed, we have another one we're paying on. I had an accident, I have to pay a ticket that's $86, and I had to get the water & deposit, so that was another $50, and still owe my security deposit here... Another $292, but don't have that down b/c I used it for my ticket & water deposit. I'm just "screwed". It's like drowning... You paddle & paddle, struggle & struggle until eventually your so tired & worn out, you give up... You gave it your all... That's me now.
I know you want to talk to me & mean well & love me, but trust me, I am in a bad, bad way right now & have my phone off & going back to bed.
I have not been the greatest of friend lately, but know I do luv ya lot's & really miss ya even though you may wonder... I do!
