(Product Name: americredit corparation) My chevy cavalier was repossed 1/06/06. I was delinquent of 81 days. I called Americredit (lender) to have my car reinstated they told me that to recieve my car I must pay 866.00 which included the two months of back payments and one month future payment and late fees plus 488.50 for reinstatement fee. I had wired this money to americredit thru western union. I rushed over the money thinking I could get my car out of repo that friday they indicated to me that reinstament will take three days to process so I would have to wait till monday.
Ok monday morning comes they tell me I had to have full coverage on my insurance so I go thru the steps of upgrading my insurance then they tell me that I must provide proof of employment I tell them that I currently was in the hospital for surgery.
My new job had to replace me. I'm still recovering from my illness which played into my bill being paid late. They said That under the laws of georgia they cannot reinstate my car if I cannot provide proof of employment. I cannot recieve my property out of repo.
I have two children I provide for, I need my car for work is this unlawful practice I paid my debt and I still cannot recieve my property. Now I have bad credit a repo on my credit report. What else do I have to do? If you can help me please!
