This broker was my broker for about 3 years and when I purchased a new vehicle I switched to State Farm Insurance, when after a few months State Farm insurance increased my insurance drastically I went back to Hodge and Hodge. They quoted me a rate of $593 every 6 months. They had my driving record and therefore was well aware that my licence was suspended in 2003 because of a fix it ticket for my registration. She went over this with me but told me that it didn't matter because it was over 3 years ago.
About a month later Kare (the agent that I had always worked with and gave me my previous insurance and this insurance) called me and told me she made an error and that they go off the fix it date and now my insurance was going up to $1043. Therefore I basically cancelled my insurance at State Farm which was $891 for a policy from Hodge and Hodge at $1043. As I stated before, this was an agent that I had worked with for years and she was well aware of the fix it ticket. When I called the office manager, she basically said oh well. This is the response I received from both Kare (the agent) and Pauline (the office manager).
I guess lying to your customer is one way to get the business but it definately isn't a way to keep the business. They will ever earn my business again. They could have made this right but absolutely no effort was made on there part including an apology.
