Ripoff unprofessional work damage to my vehicle unsecured vehicle which caused loss to my property in vehicle

On 04/13/07 I called Allpro Auto requesting a tow of my vehicle and since we were ripped off by one of the other Allpro's on Phillips highway I was told I could trust the main office on Atlantic. My vehicle was towed and 30 minutes later I was contacted by the staff of Allpro to inform me that my vehicle was safe and would be looked at by the mechanics. I stated that I had the heads replaced less then a year ago and if the engine problems were under warranty.

About an hour later I received a call from the shop stating my engine was bad and was not covered under the warranty since it was not the heads but the lower parts of the engine. The estimated price was between $2600.00 and $5500.00 for repair or new replacement. After calculating and balancing my finances I called the staff at Allpro and requested the lowest possible repair and was told that a used engine was available for $2600.00.

I allowed them to proceed with the repairs but was limited on my finances since my last repair was about $2000.00 less then one year ago and was told that I was a good client with numerous repairs to other vehicles at Allpro (they would take care of me) And since the previous manager of the Phillips Hwy. Store ripped us off that they would take care of me and my vehicles. I was called a few days later and was informed that my engine mounts were bad and would run another $200.00 after I said I had a limit on funds. I told them to continue and finally on 04/24 I received a call from Allpro stating my vehicle was done.

I was in California and could not pick up my vehicle until 04/28 and was told this was ok since they lock up and secure all vehicles on site. 04/28 I arrived to pick up my vehicle at 2:00 P.M. And when I paid they could not find my keys. Finally one of the mechanics showed up front with my keys and he said they were in the vehicle (Now when we pulled up I could see my vehicle parked in the back lot).

When I went to climb in my vehicle I noticed dirty oil marks all over my white paint and when I opened the driver door the first thing I noticed was a empty spot where my new JVC stereo once sat. The only thing there was wires and a hole. The manager for whom I was dealing with was standing out side and I said "where is my stereo"! Her response was Oh! We have had some break-ins but your vehicle was locked up at night and she did not steal my stereo! She instructed one of her mechanics to call the police and walked back into the office. While waiting for the police I asked my wife to open the back hatch and she did. (The manager said all vehicles were locked up but not one door on my vehicle was locked) and this was when I noticed the two pioneer amplifiers and sub woofers were also missing, the mechanic who was instructed to call the police walked out to my car with a silver stereo frame plate and said "Is this part of your stereo"? When I said yes he said "It was laying down on the ground where your car was and the police were on the way".

I walked around the back of the building and noticed no secure fence around the back lot and noticed other vehicles sitting in the back (unsecured) and also noticed camera systems set up around the back. I then walked back in to the office and the manager was counting money and when I asked why my vehicle was left unlocked she said she did not know and my truck was put in the shop at night. I asked about the security system and if we could see when my stereo was stole and was informed the system was garbage and in black and white and they did not have time to review the tape if it was still available. But she was trying to contact the mechanic who fixed my truck to see if a stereo was in it when it arrived to All pro. I again explained that the stereo was new and was in the vehicle when allpro had it towed.

As I was waiting for a response from her the Jacksonville Police showed up I explained the situation and stated they had cameras and might have the theft on film but they went in to talk to the manager and came back out after five minutes and stated they would do a police report. No sorry from Allpro, No review of the film, No nothing but a locked office and a police report.

I watched as each staff member left and did not secure any of the vehicles in the back of the building. While driving my vehicle home I can hear a water swishing sound from the AC that was never there before, a high pitch squeal from the engine that was never there before, a knock when I increase idle that was never there before and as of today 04/29 the service engine light just came on and stays on. I do not think the police or AllPro cared to do anything about the theft as I think I was ripped off when it comes to the repair of my vehicle.

This is not the only issue with All Pro Automotive! I thought I could trust them and they would make good on a promise to do us right since we were ripped off in the past and wanted our business.
